A Leo story
It wasn't until I was driving home from work today that I realized I had a funny Leo story to share. I actually have lots of Leo stories, but his behavior is so normal to us, we don't realize how funny it sounds to other people.
Leo was hanging out on the deck this morning before I left for work. This is his favorite thing to do when the weather is nice - actually it is his favorite thing to do no matter what the weather is. I am just mean, so I don't let him hang out in the rain.
So, Leo is hanging out enjoying the morning. Then he gets bored and comes in to check on me. Then he quietly sneaks upstairs. I realize he is upstairs when I hear him take flying leap on the bed. Now at this point, Leo is looking for trouble. He is looking something, anything to bring downstairs and run around with. So I call Leo to come downstairs. He comes running down the stairs like a crazy fool - which is code for I found something super good. So, I manage to stop him before he heads out on the deck and this is what I find -
Yes, that is a screwdriver. Thankfully he had the handle in his mouth, but geez dog - a screwdriver? Usually it is a sock or shirt, maybe underwear, but a screwdriver? Now in our defense the screwdriver was out so the Mr could put the window air conditioner in the bedroom, we don't just leave screwdrivers lying around.
Now the worst part about letting Leo hang out on the deck is convincing him to come in so I can go to work.
'Really Mom, do I have to come inside? But why?'
