Dirty Rocky
Rocky is your typical lab and lives to play fetch. He and I were out playing yesterday. It was the first decent fetch session we had had in quite a while. It seems to rain every few days lately and rain makes the yard soft. When the yard is soft and Rocky runs across it in pursuit of his beloved tennis ball, chunks of grass and dirt go flying. So, in an effort not to completely annoy the Mr, we avoid playing vigorous games of fetch when the yard is mushy. Yesterday the yard wasn't mushy, the sun was shining, the temperature was just right - so we set out to play. What I failed to think through was that it had rained that morning - A LOT. So, while the yard wasn't soft, there was some standing water. And we all know that Rocky loves water. Do you see where this is going? Once Rocky ran and ran and ran some more, he was hot, but not tired. So what better way to cool off to play more but to lay in a puddle?
Now he can play even more
I will spare everyone the details on how long it took to get him clean again or the mess I made doing it. Because we usually just use the garden hose. And more importantly - Rocky had fun and had shown Leo how to REALLY get dirty.
