Springtime fun on a Sunday
Sunday started off as a nice day and we decided to take advantage of it before the rain and then snow dumped on us. We took the boys to the elementary school soccer field by the house to run off some energy. Rocky loves to run and play fetch. So, we took him and his Chuck-it toy, Leo and some treats (to try to work on recall) and headed out. I let Rocky and Leo off leash and flung the ball and Rocky took off with Leo right behind. For the first 10 minutes, Rocky ran as hard as he could for the ball and Leo just ran. Now, we have see Leo chase Rocky or run after a squirrel, but never just run. I am bummed we didn't bring a camera because it was a Leo first. And I swear Rocky was smiling while he was running, he was just happy!
After Rocky ran and ran, he got hot and managed to find the one, mucky, slimy left-over mud puddle and roll in it. I now had a half yellow and half black lab. So, I walked my muddy puppy home and got pictures of the aftermath.
