Sunday treat time
Since the weather was nice and the boys* (Rocky and Leo) were very good boys while we were gone the day before I decided they should have a treat. I thawed out raw turkey necks for the boys. All together now, “EEEEWWWW GROSS! It is raw! What about bones! What are you doing?”
Did you get that out of your system? Now my quick explanation - Yes, I feed my dogs raw meat/bones and people food as treats. After more hours of research into dog health and nutrition than I care to admit to, I have decided that my dogs can have this kind of food. I know people who entirely feed their dogs raw. I would, but I am too lazy for that. Dogs are carnivores and can handle raw meat much better than people. Some fruits and veggies can round it out and make a better diet than many processed dog foods. There is more to it than that, but that is not what today’s blog post is about. I will end my tangent by saying I am very passionate about my dogs and their health (in case you don’t know me in real life) and this is a decision I am comfortable with. Some other time I will blog about dog food/raw food/treats/people food etc.
Back on track – here is a photo of the boys enjoying their snack on a nice spring day.
*Yes, I quite often refer to Rocky and Leo as the boys. I
started doing it when it was Rocky and Newman and have done it since then.

"Nom, nom, nom - it is yummy!"
